Hollywood’s cinema standard. In your home.

The reference speaker system trusted by professional screening rooms — now available in architecturally discreet, in-wall form.

About JBL Synthesis

The sound of a dedicated screening room, built into the architecture.

JBL Synthesis was built for the world’s most demanding listening environments — mixing rooms, reference theaters, and mastering suites where accuracy is not optional. The residential line brings that same engineering into the home, using in-wall and in-ceiling drivers that disappear into the architecture while delivering the kind of performance most rooms never experience.

Every Synthesis system is a complete, pre-engineered package: matched speakers, dedicated amplification, signal processing, and a factory onsite calibration visit. Nothing is left to guesswork. HTE designs the room around the system and coordinates every aspect of the installation from rough-in to first screening.

“The same speaker technology trusted by Hollywood’s reference screening rooms.”

The Synthesis Difference

Pre-engineered. Factory-certified. Ready for your room.

JBL Synthesis systems are calibrated at the factory level, not just installed and handed off. Each system ships as a matched set — speakers, amplification, and signal processing designed to work together — and a JBL technician visits the room after installation to measure, calibrate, and certify performance. It’s a level of precision most residential theater systems never receive.

Room volume is a starting point. Ceiling height, geometry, acoustic treatment, and listening position all shape which system performs best in a given space. HTE accounts for all of it before a single speaker is specified.
