Light that behaves like daylight.
A HomeWorks lighting system built around Ketra, Rania, and Lumaris — where the intelligence lives inside the fixture, the walls stay quiet, and the light moves naturally from candlelight to morning sun.

What makes light feel natural
The light we instinctively read as natural — candlelight, a fire, the afternoon sun — is light emitted from heat. Scientists call it incandescence.
Ordinary LED light is efficient, but it isn't emitted from heat — which is why it can feel flat, cool, and a little artificial. Ketra was engineered to close that gap: a full-spectrum source that recreates the warmth of a flame, the balance of daylight, and every hour in between. The result is light you feel rather than notice — flattering to skin, faithful to color, and quietly correct in any room.
Where does the intelligence live?
Every advanced lighting system makes one quiet decision early on — whether the control lives in a wall of panels, or inside the fixtures themselves. That single choice shapes the wiring, the mechanical room, the electrical scope, and the cost.
Intelligence in the panel
Dimming and control live in panels housed in a mechanical room. Every fixture runs its own switch leg — a dedicated home run — all the way back to those panels. Proven and familiar, but wire-heavy and hungry for space.
Intelligence in the fixture
Each fixture carries its own dimming and color intelligence and communicates wirelessly over Lutron's CCX network. Fixtures simply need constant power — hot and neutral. Far less wire, fewer panels, a much smaller mechanical footprint.

One residence. Seven lighting designs.
A 4,284 sq ft condominium, one identical lighting program, priced seven ways — from a traditional dimming-panel build to fully intelligent fixtures. The interesting part isn't which costs most. It's where the money goes.
Select any design to see its full breakdown. Bars scaled to the most complete build.
less spent on dimming hardware when intelligence moves into the fixture — from $25,045 down to $3,405.
lighter electrical scope — fewer home runs and panels bring labor & materials from $28,696 to $16,510.
the most affordable design here is an intelligent-fixture build — below both traditional panel designs.
Intelligent fixtures don't simply add cost — they move it. Dollars shift out of dimming panels, home-run wiring, and electrical labor, and into the fixtures themselves. So the headline number tells you less than the structure beneath it: a fully intelligent design can come in below a traditional one, while a complete Ketra natural-light system represents the ceiling — the cost of bringing true daylight to every room.
For homeowners
Light that flatters your home, your art, and the people in it — warm in the evening, bright and balanced by day, shifting naturally as the hours pass. It disappears into the architecture, with discreet keypads instead of banks of switches.
And because the intelligence lives in the fixtures, the build is cleaner: less wiring through your walls, a smaller mechanical room, and a system that is genuinely simple to live with.
For architects, designers & builders
Fewer home runs to coordinate. Smaller panel walls to find space for. A lighter electrical scope, and a cleaner path from lighting design intent to the installed result. The reduced infrastructure is easier to value-engineer without compromising the experience.
We translate the lighting design into a buildable, accurate system — model it, document it, program it, and stand behind it long after the certificate of occupancy.
