Amazon Echo, powered by Alexa, now has a skill for Savant Pro. In addition to the award-winning voice control options on the Savant Pro Remote, Savant customers now have the ability to control their Savant Home through Amazon's far-field voice technology.
You can now use Alexa voice control to activate a Savant Scene for single room or entire home control. In addition, you can dynamically control room lighting and a suite of entertainment services. Any Savant Pro system running Savant 8.4 or later can have Alexa voice services added to the system through the Alexa App and any Alexa-enabled device.
While Savant has long been known for its award-winning Pro Remote and intuitive voice control features, this new Alexa Skill for Savant Pro takes it a step further. Now, you can enjoy the power of Amazon’s far-field voice technology to command your Savant Home from anywhere in the room—no need to pick up a remote or reach for your phone.
With Alexa, you can:
Activate Savant Scenes with a simple voice command—whether it’s a cozy movie night setup in one room or an “All Off” command that powers down your entire home.
Adjust lighting, shades, and temperature dynamically—create the perfect mood or brighten your workspace, all without lifting a finger.
Control entertainment effortlessly—ask Alexa to play your favorite playlist, queue up a movie, or turn on the game room TV.
Setup is simple. Any Savant Pro system running version 8.4 or later can integrate Alexa voice services directly through the Amazon Alexa App. Once enabled, any Alexa-enabled device—from Echo Dots to Echo Shows—can respond to your commands and interact with your Savant ecosystem.
The result? A truly connected experience where luxury automation meets the convenience of natural voice control. Whether you’re walking in with your hands full, setting the mood for dinner, or simply saying “Good night,” your Savant Home responds instantly—just the way you want it to.
According to Savant’s documentation and third-party summaries, Alexa can control a Savant home when the system meets certain criteria. Here are the general device types and capabilities:
• Scenes & Whole-Home Control
You can invoke “Scenes” (preset configurations of lighting, AV, shades, etc.) via voice through Alexa.
Examples:
“Alexa, movie time” → lights dim, TV turns on, shades close.
“Alexa, goodnight” → lights off, locks engage, thermostat adjusts.
• Lighting Control
Alexa can control individual or grouped lights via Savant’s lighting subsystem.
It can:
Turn lights on/off.
Dim or brighten lighting.
Possibly select scenes that include lighting states.
• AV & Entertainment Systems
Your Savant system often integrates audio/video, so Alexa can issue commands for entertainment:
Play/pause/stop a service.
Change input or room.
Trigger multi-room audio.
• Smart Home Interfaces (Supported Devices)
Alexa-enabled devices (Echo, Echo Show, etc.) serve as the voice interface for your Savant system.
For example:
Amazon Echo Dot, Echo Show, Echo (etc.) as voice controllers.
The Savant remote and touch panels continue to work in parallel.

Don’t worry. The Home Technology Experts are here to get you connected! For Alexa + Savant to function properly, you’ll need:
A Savant Pro system running at least version da Vinci 8.4 or later.
The Alexa Skill for Savant enabled in the Amazon Alexa app and linked to your Savant account.
Device Discovery in Alexa (so Alexa sees the devices defined in your Savant system).
Supported AV, lighting, shade, climate, etc equipment integrated into the Savant ecosystem.
