HomeWorks is ideal for larger homes and new construction where centralizing dimming and using keypads instead of switch banks is part of the architectural plan. RadioRA 3 is perfect for retrofits and projects where you want elevated control with less construction. We'll recommend the right platform after reviewing your home and plans — often the answer becomes clear immediately.
Often, yes — but not always. Part of our process is testing or verifying that your fixtures and drivers are compatible with Lutron. In some cases, we'll recommend fixture or driver upgrades to deliver the smooth, flicker-free dimming Lutron is known for. We discuss this transparently early in the process — before work begins, not during installation.
Yes. We regularly integrate Lutron with Control4, Savant, and other platforms, as well as with shading, audio, and security. That's where the real magic happens — one button sets lights, lowers shades, and adjusts the environment across the whole home. Lutron's integration protocols are among the best in the industry, which is one of the reasons we rely on them for every lighting project.
No. While many of our projects are full-home systems, we also handle focused upgrades — converting a wing of the house to RadioRA 3, adding Lutron shades in key rooms, or solving persistent lighting issues that another integrator couldn't resolve. If you have a specific need, reach out and we'll tell you honestly whether it's something we can help with.
RadioRA 3 is the current wireless platform — it offers better RF mesh networking, a cleaner app experience, and full support for Lutron's latest smart shade products. RadioRA 2 is now a legacy platform: we still service and maintain Ra2 systems in good condition, but new projects use RadioRA 3. If you have Ra2 and are wondering whether to upgrade, we can evaluate your specific setup and give you an honest recommendation.
Yes. We handle Dealer of Record changes for Lutron systems regularly — particularly for homes in the Hamptons whose previous integrator is no longer local or responsive. We'll do a full site survey, review your programming, and document your system before taking responsibility for it. If there are issues we'd want to address, we'll surface them clearly before you commit to anything.
