The Role of Project Management

We understand that when it comes to large involved projects, clients want everything to magically come together. In order for that to happen, we have to collaborate with the other industry professionals on the job to streamline decisions. By assigning a dedicated project manager to each job, you are always working with the same individual who understands the nuances of the project.

Project Managers are HTE liaisons tasked with simplifying the planning, design, & integration processes.

SITE MEETINGS

Once HTE is contracted, our project managers are the ones who attend planning and site meetings. They serve as "fire prevention". You are an expert in your field, but there may be aspects of the project, relating to technology, that you may be unaware of. Our project managers are well versed at identifying potential issues as early as possible. Their goal is to provide assistance during the planning phase in order to avoid unpleasant surprises and costly change orders down the road. As the project progresses, they continue to monitor adjustments, ensuring design synergy.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT

It's natural that you will have questions with regards to our equipment specifications. Your project manger is your technical resource. What may seem like a trivial detail in the grand scheme of it all, could result in wasted time or a costly error. Having a dedicated resource eliminates guesswork or valuable time that would have been wasted, researching the answer on your own. Your project manger is there to make your interaction with HTE as easy as possible.

HTE LIAISON

After meeting with you, your project manger relays the information to the rest of our team. He will let our engineers know of any updates that must be made to our design or CAD drawings. He'll work with our project coordinator, ensuring our technicians are dispatched to compliment your scheduling requirements. He will also let our warehouse manager know what to order and when that order should be placed.

PARTNER

Although we work for different companies, when we are assigned to the same project as other industry professionals, we become partners. With so many professionals on a signal job, if we don't work in unison, it can become overwhelming for the client. The project manger will make sure you understand the information we need in order to cohesively simplify the decision making process. Details such as keypad style and engraving or which hem-bar should be selected for the motorized shades must be made. However, we found that by working with designers to present these options when the client is selecting other finishing details, it becomes a more constructive use of their time.
